DUH!!!!! - Ray Gillen (the singer from Jake E. Lee s band Badlands) passed away several years ago......So if you bought this album expecting it to be them, you haven t really been paying attention.....I don t own this, but I gave it 5 stars to be fair.Amazon put this in my recommended list, even though it probably doesn t belong there. I love the original band, but this isn t it......
Awesome, tuneful streetpunk outta Holland - Awesome album from an awesome band! Catchy melodic yet tough streetpunk rock n roll. One of the best bands out there now. Buy it you won t regret it... unless you think this is the hair-head badlands.
Street Rock n Roll / Oi! - 1st off, yes this is not a band w/ jake e lee in it. Why would someone review this album simply based on the fact that its not what they thought it is. If this genius knew anything about music, he wouldn t be surprised to find that there are bands out there that have the same name as another band. I m sure if they d ever heard of the second rate metal wash up blues band that you speak of they would have reconsidered their name. As far as this band goes. This band is from Holland. They play a brand of street rock n roll that is similar to the beltones. Vocally they are different than most other bands in this genre. This guy can actually sing! Worth checking out. Another good album by them is hands of time .
This is NOT the Badlands w/Jake E. Lee - I was surprised to find a new Badlands album -- only to discover that it is NOT the bluesy hard-rock band that I know and dig. I didn t even listen to the album: I opened it, saw a bunch of Swedish names and pictures of skinhead musicians -- definitely NOT Jake E. Lee -- and returned it! I don t know how this band is able to use the Badlands name, but if you re looking for Badlands w/Jake, this is NOT it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
